What exactly is Skimboard V1?

Skimboard V1 is a live, automated MNQ (Micro E-mini Nasdaq) trading strategy that fires signals during the 9:30-9:45 ET opening range window. It runs on our master NinjaTrader 8 instance and broadcasts every trade decision — entries, stops, targets, exits — to your NinjaTrader 8 via a WebSocket relay in sub-second time.

Do I need trading experience?

No. The strategy is fully automated. You install the BoardShop addon, enter your license key, and the system handles everything. Surf School provides step-by-step setup guides. You don't need to read a single chart.

What platform and broker do I need?

You need NinjaTrader 8 (free to use for live trading) and a compatible futures broker. We recommend Tradovate or Rithmic. Works with all major prop firms including APEX, Topstep, Earn2Trade, and LeeLoo.

How fast are the signals delivered?

Sub-second. The master strategy fires → WebSocket relay pushes the signal → your BoardShop child strategy receives and executes automatically. There's no copy-pasting, no Discord delay, no human lag. This is machine-to-machine.

What if something goes wrong?

The strategy has a built-in panic button — a simple file trigger at C:\Temp\ that instantly flattens all positions and kills the strategy. The master also has a 3-hour lockout after trading to prevent overtrading. Risk management is hardcoded, not optional.

Can I run this on a prop firm funded account?

Yes. Skimboard V1 is designed with prop firm rules in mind — defined risk per trade, no overnight holds, strict trade window. Many of our riders use it on APEX funded accounts.

Is the performance data real?

Yes. Every trade is logged to our Supabase database in real-time. The equity curve and stats on this page pull directly from the live trade log. No photoshopped P&L screenshots. No cherry-picked results.

Can I cancel anytime?
